Finding Species

Leonel Velásquez

Mr. Velasquez is an Associate Photographer at Finding Species, where he is responsible for producing photographs and managing photographic files and databases. He also participates in the Signature Species of Yasuni National Park traveling exhibits, talking directly with the public about the species, threats and impacts.  He has  five years experience as a photographer, and has taken over 22,000 Finding Species photographs of flora and fauna, habitats, and anthropogenic impacts in Ecuador and the United States.  Mr. Velásquez completed photography training both in the field and in-studio under Finding Species photographer Yuri Huta, and has studied professional photography at the Image Center – Alianza Francesa Quito – Ecuador.
